Truman R. Kilburn Jr., 49 of Bloomfield, CT, passed away suddenly following a motor vehicle accident on February 18, 2012. He will be remembered most for his unyielding generosity of spirit and heart, as well as his heart-warming smile.
Truman was born on June 2nd, 1962, in Glens Falls, NY to Truman Kilburn Sr. and Pricilla Reed. He graduated from the University of South Carolina. Truman later went on to serve proudly as 2nd Lieutenant in the Marine Corps. He took pride in working for McKesson as an Implementation Specialist. He enjoyed his home, the outdoors, and spending time with those he loved.
He is survived by his sisters Erin Barber of Hudson Falls, NY, Tara Kilburn of Greenville, SC, and brother Michael Hobbins of Cooper City, FL. In addition to his siblings, he is survived by former wife Laura Kilburn of Bloomfield, CT; other family members, and friends. Truman was dearly loved by all, and will be sorely missed by his family, friends, and his beloved dog, Otis. Though his life was gone too soon, he will remain a light that will shine on in our hearts forever.
A private memorial service will be held by his family in his honor. In light of Truman’s great compassion towards animals, his family suggests memorials in his name be made to The Simon Foundation of Bloomfield, CT.
